Library:

The Department Library is well furnished in recent text books as well as historical publications in all Oceanographic disciplines and specialisations. It comprises about 2000 books and 40 periodicals.

The Library also comprises an important collection of Indian Ocean Expeditions. Most valuable are the 11 volumes of the Results of the " John-Murray Expedition to the Indian Ocean" on board of the Egyptian R R V MABAHITH in 1933-1934, and the reports on the following Egyptian Expedition to the Northern Red Sea in 1933-1934 on board the same ship.
The Five volumes of Collected Reprints of the papers Published by The Department Staff until 1982 are also available. A new series of collected reprints is in preparation.
